We provide Public Health internships to Indigenous students, and help support and match Wabanaki students to appropriate learning opportunities. We have internship opportunities throughout the school year and over the summer months. 

GEARD-UP Wabanaki Student Internship Program

This 9-month program throughout the academic school year will engage students in project-based learning as well as offer learning opportunities through our partnership with Washington State University. Students will learn and enhance their exposure in several areas including grants, epidemiology, research, and data analytics.

Wabanaki Summer InternSHIP Program

We hosted American Indian undergraduate students that were exploring careers related to health and wellness join us over the summer to experience Wabanaki culture and public health from an Indigenous lens. Our summer interns formally presented their final projects in August 2022.
