Recovery-Ready Communities

Home » Our Departments » Wabanaki Healing & Recovery » Recovery-Ready Communities

To build a Recovery-Ready Community, there are four main areas of focus: Access to treatment, Educational Opportunities, Secure and Quality housing, and Employment opportunities. Through the building of the Center for Wabanaki Healing & Recovery, the Healing House in Millinocket, and the Opportunity House in Bangor, WPHW has created the pathway for our communities to be Recovery-Ready.

Workforce Recovery Program

The goal of our workforce recovery program is to help those in recovery to meaningfully re-enter the workforce, to provide community, and to ensure that those who are on the recovery journey have a way to support themselves and family.

We currently have two navigators who can help individuals with employment related resources:

  • Vocational Trainings
  • Certifications
  • Job opportunities
  • Case Management
  • Education and GED
